My Character:
-rank 8 sunspear
-Canthan origin
-Lvl 20, finished all of NF and previous chapters
-done all mission bonusses
-done the Land of Heroes quest (outlander only characters)

Cant do Jokanur Diggings because:
(Player) does not have high enough rank to enter the mission.

Cant do Blacktide Den because:
(Player) did not strike a deal with Captain Mendelbehh.

Seems to me the game mixed up Canthan and NF character rules or something. Anyone any idea what else this could be. Im contacting NCSoft now about it. Pretty much done all the Primary Quests on the starter isle.

This is odd because all my Tyrian and Canthan chars have done both those missions withe no toruble at all. All of them did them before they finished Nightfall if that makes any difference.

This started to occur when the foreigners got the extraquests.
My characters started before could do those without a problem. The one I brought over afterwards could not start those missions.

4 Tyrian Born chars with protector of Elona
1 Cantha Born char with protector of Elona

So no problem doing those missions

All of them started NF before new quests!

Well it does sound like a weird bug and I hope Anet is going to do something about this soon.

Just a dumb question. Did you did Sunspears in Cantha/tyria quest? And have accepted award for the quest including Land of Heroes quest?

In answer to your question yes. Cain kindly posted my issue for me while I sent a report to Anet.
Took my monk over to Elona on day of release and completed game. Having done that I wanted to go for protector title but the new mini mission land of hero's had been added. So after finding this issue, I went and did the mini mission. This has left me with no quests to do on the beginner island as I have checked everywhere, but even after all the latest updates the issue is still occuring.
Anet's response to the issue was by doing quests although I had mentioned I had already done them all. Otherwise to look to the forums for imformation.

If anyone does find a way around this, I'd be grateful to know how as at the moment I am stuck on getting the title.

I heard from one source you can't do these after rank 8 sunspear, but I don't know how credible that is.

Also, try doing all the new primary quests they added.

Check the game progrssion sticky. It's almost a guarantee you missed an early quest someplace. Double check you completed Command Training.

its very simple get a low lvl elonaian born char to lead your party and start the mission

and the fact your lvl 20 means the low lvls will love it

That might not work if the mission npc says that he just can't do it.

The NF mission system has it so that you must have completed the primary quest and have gotten the reward in order to the mission. If you haven't, or if it's bugged like this, the npc will say that so and so cannot enter the mission. Or if you left out a hero it will say that the hero is necessary for the mission.

Annoying it is >_o

Stupid Question - Have you started with Chahbek Village?

You need to go through Churrhir Fields to the far end and talk to Historian Laharo. He asks (something like) if you want to relive the historical events, then lets you into the mission area. Then try doing the others in order from there.

Wrong, entering a mission has nothing to do with level.

Similarly, Chahbek Village has nothing to do with entrance into Jokanur Diggings or Blacktide Den.

All previous problems with entering those two missions stem from not doing Sunspears in Kryta/Cantha or another quest. In which case, all one has to do is complete the quests.

Something like this happened to me near release. I had partied with a group doing the crossover quest, but I hadn't actually gotten the quest myself. As a result, I was able to enter Kamadan, but could not do either Blacktide Den, or Jokanur Diggings.

After going back and doing the crossover quest, I was able to complete the missions. You guys may be experiencing an old bug. Then again this may be something new, just thought I would post and try to help.
